STOP is a voluntary class offered by the Spokane Police Department. It is designed to improve driver awareness and understanding of traffic laws and to promote safe driving skills. This program is for drivers who have received a Notice of Traffic Violation and DO NOT have the following conditions:
Upon successful completion of STOP, your ticket will be dismissed and will not be reported to the Department of Licensing.
Step 1: You are required to respond to your ticket within 30 days of receipt. If you choose to attend STOP, you must request a court hearing as instructed on your copy of the ticket.

Step 3: Submit the following items to the Clerk's Office at the address above:
Step 4: The Clerk's Office will review your application for eligibility and, if you qualify for STOP, you will be given a date to attend a STOP class at the bottom of your application. If you do not qualify, you will be notified of the reason for ineligibility.
Step 5: Attend and successfully complete the STOP class.
Step 6: Upon completion of STOP, Spokane Municipal Court will be notified you have completed the class and the court will dismiss your ticket. There will be no further fine or legal action and you will NOT have to appear for the hearing date you received. STOP classes are held at the:

You must attend either one Saturday session from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or two sessions on consecutive Tuesday/Thursday from 6-9 p.m.

If you do not follow the requirements, you will be dismissed from class.
Dismissal from class or failure to attend class will require you to attend your court hearing.

All Traffic School classes are conducted at the Spokane Police Academy, which is accessible to all members of the public. Additional requests for information with regard to accessibility must be made to the Traffic School at the time of application.
