6:44 p.m. - Spokane Police Officers, Major Crimes Detectives and Spokane Fire Investigators, arrested a suspect in an arson at a downtown apartment building.

Smoke alarm helps residents safely evacuate during house fire

8:28 a.m. - A smoke alarm installed earlier this year by the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) helped residents quickly evacuate during a house fire last night.
