1:03 p.m. - Dwight Collins was arrested for strangling his neighbor & punching the neighbor's wife. He was booked into jail for 2nd Assault & 4th Assault.

8:38 a.m. - Spokane police are in the process of investigating a shooting that took place in Northeast Spokane.

Cause of fire at downtown business under investigation

12:54 p.m. - At approximately 2:15 a.m. a fire at a commercial building in downtown Spokane was reported.

Oily rags spontaneously ignite causing yesterday’s house fire

1:36 p.m. - Fire investigators advise yesterday’s house fire was caused by improperly disposed oil/stain rags that spontaneously ignited.

10:49 a.m. - Officers make an arrest at an occupied burglary. A resident in Kendall Yards woke to find a man sleeping on her bedroom floor.

5:29 a.m. - In a 27-hour period, SPD recovered 13 stolen vehicles in various parts of the City.

11:31 p.m. - A female in her 70s suffered a non-life threatening stab wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment

East Central house fire determined accidental

5:28 p.m. - A fire that damaged an East Central home in the 3200 block of N. Regal St. this morning was determined to be accidental.

Vacant house fire leads to arrest

3:14 p.m. - Investigators with SFD’s Special Investigation Unit confirm this morning’s vacant house fire on W. Crown Ave. was started by a warming fire.

12:40 p.m. - The Spokane Fire Department responded to the 3200 block of N. Regal St. around 11:30 a.m. upon the report of smoke issuing from a residence.

5:09 p.m. - Spokane Police Patrol Team 15 and Night PACT (Patrol Anti-Crime Team) arrest convicted felon with multiple firearms, ammunition and drugs.
