Story Walk at RFP

A StoryWalk© is an educational program that allows the community to enjoy reading and the outdoors simultaneously. The program will expand Riverfront Park's Story Time at the Looff Carrousel and include a rotation of children's stories as well as educational activations for all members of the community. Installations may tie into local initiatives, highlight important anniversaries, and feature regional art, culture, and history. The Riverfront Story Walk project was created and developed in collaboration with our sponsors and partners at Windermere Spokane, Walker Construction, and BMT Metal Fabrication Inc. The StoryWalk© Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Riverfront's Story Walk installation is located on Snxw Meneɂ (sin-HOO-men-huh). Snxw Meneɂ is the Spokane Salish name for the small Island in Riverfront Park. Look for more Salish words included in select Story Walk stories!
