Browne's Addition Victim and the Fire's Cause Identified

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 3:12 AM, the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) responded to a Civilian Fatality Structure Fire in the 2300 Block of West Pacific Avenue.  

The victim has been identified as Burkland, Elizabeth (42 years old), a resident of the apartment unit. The cause of death was identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner as inhalation of products of combustion due to [the] structure fire.

The fire investigator identified the nature as accidental. Smoking and cooking materials were located at the area of origin.
