10:48 a.m. - The Spokane Fire Department responded to a reported apartment fire at 1024 W. Boone on February 28th at 10:41 p.m.

Spokane Police investigate Safeway robbery

11:30 a.m. - Spokane Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on February 28th at approximately 1 a.m. at the Safeway on W. Northwest Blvd.

SPD executes search warrant; recovers guns, drugs

9 a.m. - Spokane Police arrest three people and seize drugs, firearms and electronics after executing a search warrant at a Spokane residence.

Looff Carrousel opens for the season Friday

1:51 p.m. - The Looff Carrousel, one of the most visited attractions in Spokane, reopens on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

10:59 a.m. - SCRAPS is now the agency responsible for enforcing all animal control ordinances and will have a presence in city/county parks this spring and summer.

SPD looks to public to help ID Fred Meyer robbery suspects

10 a.m. - Spokane Police look to the public to help identify two suspects, who threatened store security with a knife, from a robbery that occurred on 2-22-14.

9:30 a.m. - Officers follow footprints in snow and locate two suspects; Darren Bard and Nicholas Whitney were arrested on 2 counts of 2nd Degree Burglary.

Officers use CIT training to de-escalate suicidal man

9 a.m. - Spokane police use Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) to safely de-escalate a suicidal man with a firearm on February 25, 2014 just after 6 p.m.

City declares Stage 1 snow event

4 p.m. - With a hard freeze predicted for overnight conditions, residential hill routes are a focus for City Street crews.

25 more charges requested for pharmacy robbery suspects

1 p.m. - Spokane Police have requested 25 additional charges for three pharmacy robbery suspects: Jacy L. Thomson, Philip J. Powlus and Dale J. Cusick.

Yard and food waste collection resumes March 3

11:25 a.m. - The City of Spokane is trying to urge Mother Nature along as it resumes curbside yard and food waste pickup on Monday, March 3.
