SPD Arrests Two in Yesterday's McDonald's Armed Robbery

11:36 a.m. - Spokane Police arrest two suspects in connection to a Robbery which occurred yesterday, at about 6 pm, at the McDonald’s at 2200 W. Wellesley Ave.

April 17

Annual compost fair to be held Saturday, April 26

5:07 p.m. - The Spokane Master Composters/Recyclers will host a Compost Fair at Finch Arboretum on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

City plans Nelson Service Center project groundbreaking on April 25

4:53 p.m. - The City of Spokane will break ground on anew combined Solid Waste Management & Fleet maintenance facility on Friday, April 25, at 11 a.m.

SPD arrests suspect in stabbing/fight

9:13 a.m. - Police have arrested 26-year-old Edward Bobby Donoian on charges of 1st Degree Assault in connection to a stabbing on Monday, April 14th.

South Battalion cliff rescue

1:37 p.m. - The Fire Department responded to a report of a boy who had fallen from a cliff at Liberty Park in the East Central Neighborhood at 5:34 p.m.

SPD arrests bomb threat suspect

11:36 a.m. - No explosives were located. The suspect, 44-year-old David J. Maslo was arrested for Threats to Bomb or Injure Property.

SPD arrests felon in possession of a rifle

10:49 a.m. - Officers arrest 24-year-old Casey L. Brown for illegally possessing a firearm and other charges after he allegedly stole a rifle in a vehicle prowling

Five new SPD recruits graduate from Basic Law Enforcement Academy

2:45 p.m. - Chris LeQuire, Jordan Brown, Corrigan Mohondro, Brandon Fabian, and Brandon Lynch will attend a three week SPD-specific training course.

Ombudsman Commission public input planned

5:37 p.m. - The City is hosting public meetings on April 28 and 29 to discuss how the citizen Police Ombudsman Commission should be formed

Riverfront Park Master Plan 2014 call for public comment

5:31 p.m. - The City is hosting public comment meetings on April 17 and 24 about the Riverfront Park Master Plan

Earth Day Spokane celebration

2:30 p.m. - The Earth Day Spokane all-volunteer organizing committee is partnering with Riverfront Park to celebrate Earth Day Spokane on Saturday, April 26th.

Spring Opening of the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens

SPD responds to fight/stabbing; two transported to hospital
