The City of Spokane Park Board will be hosting two public comment periods regarding the Riverfront Park Master Plan Citizen Advisory Committee recommendations on new and existing Park uses.

The public comment meetings will be held on Thursday, April 17th, and Thursday, April 24th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 808 West Spokane Falls Blvd. in downtown.

Advisory Committee Chair, Ted McGregor will be making a formal presentation to the Park Board on the evening of April 17th. The Riverfront Park Master Plan Advisory Committee consists of 19 volunteers from the community that have met monthly with Park Staff and Board members since April of 2013. They concluded their work on March 20 of this year.

“I look forward to submitting our recommendations to the Park Board and hearing from the community. Riverfront Park is such a unique and integral part of Spokane, we are excited about the future potential for the Park.” McGregor says.

Advisory Committee recommendations as well as design concepts developed during the past year will be posted for public review on the Master Plan website at riverfrontparkmasterplan.org.

The public is encouraged to attend either meeting and free parking will be available at Riverfront Park lots for participants coming to testify.
