Crews working to clear fallen trees off streets, sidewalks

Wednesday’s storm has left trees knocked over in some areas. City crews are working to clean up the messes today (Thursday).
Trees that are down on streets will be the first to be cleared off, followed by trees down on sidewalks. Crews will clear all pedestrian and road-travel ways.
Damage from the storm has also left many trees in unstable conditions and power lines down. The Spokane Fire Department wants to remind the public to stay clear of both of these hazards to avoid accident or injury until the hazardous situations are resolved.
