With major improvements currently underway on the Lincoln/Monroe Street couplet from 8th to 17th Avenues, the City of Spokane is inviting the public to learn more about the proposed project for next year on Lincoln/Monroe.

  • What: Open House for Lincoln/Monroe Street project (Phase II)
  • When: Wednesday, Sept. 17 (6:30-7:30 p.m.)
  • Where: Roosevelt Elementary School (333 West 14th Ave.)

The City of Spokane Engineering Services Department will be doing a short presentation at the Open House. The proposed project on 2nd to 8th Avenues will include full-depth pavement rehabilitation, minor curb realignments, improved pedestrian facilities which meet ADA standards, and the installation of trees and landscaping to address stormwater runoff.

Community feedback is an important part of street development projects. The City of Spokane encourages citizens and businesses to come share their thoughts and suggestions about the project.
