Meuler appointed interim director

A national search will be conducted to replace Scott Chesney, who resigned today as planning and development services director for the City of Spokane. Chesney was appointed to the position in 2011.
“We appreciate Scott’s service to the citizens of this community and his contributions to the City,” said Jan Quintrall, director of the Business and Developer Services division.
Louis Meuler has been named interim department director and will work closely with Quintrall, while the search is completed. No timetable has been established for conducting the search.
Meuler has been with the City since 1996, and is currently a principal planner.
