The next edition of “Council Connection,” the cable television program featuring Spokane City Council members as hosts, will be shown live on Thursday at 6 p.m. on CityCable 5. Council Member and STA Board Chair Amber Waldref, District 1, will host the program titled “STA Moving Forward.”

The show will feature guests from the Spokane Transit Authority CEO Susan Meyer and Director of Planning Karl Otterstrom.

The draft STA Moving Forward plan is a 10-year implementation plan designed to sustain existing service levels and provide more and better transit to the growing region. The STA Board of Directors wants public feedback on the proposed projects in the plan, as well as the community’s readiness to pay for it by directing additional revenue to STA.

“Spokane Transit has an exciting plan to sustain and increase service over the next 10 years,” Waldref explains. “We need Spokane residents and citizens throughout our county to learn about the projects and provide feedback.”

Council Member Waldref will accept calls from viewers during the program; the phone number to reach the show is 625.6337.

“Council Connection” is shown live on the first Wednesday of the month and is replayed throughout the month. CityCable 5 is the City of Spokane’s government-access cable station; it’s found on Channel 5 on the Comcast cable system in Spokane.
