Golf 1916-style: Downriver Celebrates 100 with Hickory Tournament

11:58 a.m. - Downriver Golf Course celebrates 100 years in July with a vintage-style tournament using hickory clubs – the kind used when Downriver opened in 1916.

Suspect Arrested after Stabbing Downtown

8:54 a.m. - A victim was taken to an area hospital after a stabbing on S Browne St near Pacific Ave. Michael R. Anderson (53) was arrested for 1st Assault.

5:29 p.m. - The involved officers have a combined 10 years of experience as officers with SPD and other agencies.

SPD Releasing Names of Officers Involved in OIS from May 1st

2:12 p.m. - SPD is releasing the names of the officers involved in the May 1 incident involving a male armed with a machete in the 00 block of west Main.
