3:18 p.m. - The Investigation Oversight Committee said today that 49 employees have been interviewed by the independent investigator.

11:09 a.m. - Spokane City Council will host a meet and greet Monday, June 20 at the Public Safety meeting for Daisy, the police department’s newest K9 member.

9:15 a.m. - Spokane will be honored with a Municipal Excellence Award from the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) at their Annual Conference in Everett.

Firefighters Rescue Three Dogs After Alert Neighbors Report House Fire

5:04 p.m. - From 6/14/2016: Firefighters were able to rescue three dogs after alert neighbors called 9-1-1 to report smoke and a sounding smoke alarm.

Odor Forces Evacuation of Ferris High School

4:50 p.m. - From 6/10/2016: Ferris High School is evacuated after a reported odor disperses through the school. A total of 14 patients are evaluated.

Fatality Collision at Wellesley/Whitehouse

5:15 p.m. - Spokane Police are investigating a fatality collision today involving a bicycle at Wellesley/Whitehouse

New Summit Pkwy Traffic Signal Operational

9:23 a.m. - Starting Thursday morning, the new traffic signal at the intersection of Summit Parkway and Monroe Street will be fully operational.

SPD Looking for Witnesses to Downtown Assault (16-211571)

2:55 p.m. - SPD Detectives are investigating a downtown assault that occurred early Sunday morning. The victim remains in the hospital in intensive care.
