Late Tuesday night into the early morning hours of Wednesday, a couple inches of very heavy wet snow blanketed the Spokane area. This caused a lot of branches to break off and fall into the roadways and on power lines. Several trees around the city came down and blocked roadways. Crews are currently working to clear up the roads and restore power.
With that being said, the traffic signals in many intersections are not working. With the morning commute coming in a couple hours this is a good time to remind everybody that these intersections are to be treated as 4-way stops. The roads have slush on them and morning travelers may want to give yourself some extra time due to the conditions.
