The Spokane Flag Commission, tasked with selecting a new official City of Spokane Flag, will convene for its first meeting on Friday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Briefing Center in the lower level of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. The meeting is open to the public and will include a public comment period after agenda items are covered.

Council Member Kate Burke, who sponsored the creation of the flag commission, said, “When we have a flag our community is excited about, it will create a sense of pride and ownership that will very much benefit our region. I am excited to see what this commission comes up with for Spokane!”

This is the first meeting of the commission and a reoccurring monthly meeting time has not been determined at this time.
