Parking meters don’t have to be plugged on Monday, Feb. 17, because of the Presidents’ Day holiday.  City of Spokane offices, however, are open as usual on Monday, and garbage pickup and curbside recycling will proceed on a normal schedule.

The Spokane City Council briefing session and legislative meeting have been cancelled for Monday, Feb. 17.  The Council will meet next on Monday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 and 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in the lower level of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.  Meetings also are shown live on CityCable 5, the City’s government-access cable station, and on the web at www.spokanecity.org.

The Numerica Skate Ribbon, SkyRide, and Looff Carrousel in Riverfront Park are open on Monday, Feb. 17.  Check the City’s web site for additional information. Spokane Public Library branches will operate on a normal schedule on Presidents’ Day.

Meanwhile, the City’s Municipal Court employees will be working and are available by phone on Monday, Feb. 17, but since the County Courthouse Building will be closed on that day, the court isn’t available for walk-in customers.
