On Monday, Aug. 3, the City of Spokane Street Department will begin work on a project to repair Wall Street between Garland and Wellesley avenues. In the grind and overlay project, crews will remove two inches of old pavement and replace it with new asphalt.
The work will cause backups and delays, so motorists are asked to detour to Monroe or Division streets during the two-week project.
Work on Wall Street is part of slate of street maintenance repair projects that the Street Department will complete this summer. Street crews is scheduled to complete grind and overlay work on 15 lanes miles of streets.
This week, crews are completing work on Wellesley between Pittsburg and Haven.
