Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward has ordered flags at all City facilities be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Jay Inslee’s directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in remembrance of Bellevue Police Officer Jordan Jackson.

“Spokane joins the Bellevue and the law enforcement communities in mourning the loss of Officer Jackson,” Woodward said. “I encourage anyone with a flag outside of their home or business to join us in this recognition to honor his memory.”

Officer Jackson died in the line of duty on Monday, Nov. 21. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m., at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.
