City Seeks Small Business Grant Applications

The City of Spokane has established a 2023 Assistance to Small Businesses Grant, through funding provided for by the American Rescue Plan Act. The application opens Wednesday, May 24.

Grant funding is for small businesses that were impacted by the COVID pandemic and need help in post pandemic recovery. Grants of up to $45,000 will be awarded to small businesses that can show a decline in gross revenue or show increased expenses equal to or greater than the $45,000 grant amount. Additionally, businesses who started operations in 2020 or 2021 are eligible for grants of up to $15,000.

This Notice of Funding Availability is the second of two rounds of recovery funding. Organizations approved for funding in the first round are not eligible for funding in this round.

The application deadline is Thursday, Aug. 31, 5 p.m. or until funding is exhausted. For information on how to apply please visit the Spokane ARPA website.

There is an optional workshop where technical assistance is available on Wednesday, May 24, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. It will be held both virtually and in-person at the Central Library, Event Room B.
