Water Wise Wednesday Workshops Begin March 4

The City of Spokane Water Department in collaboration with Spokane Public Library will host weekly Water Wise Workshops on Wednesdays beginning March 4, through April 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Shadle Park Library. This eight-week series of FREE and public workshops will focus on sustainable landscaping principles and provide practical tools to create water efficient gardens and planting. No registration is required.

The following topics will be presented at Water Wise Wednesday Workshops:

March 11: SpokaneScape DIY Design
March 18: SpokaneScape DIY Install Tips
March 25: Canopy Huggers Unite!
April 1: Choosing Your Plants? Go Native!
April 8: Efficient Irrigation
April 15: Green Without Grass
April 22: Fire Wise and Water Wise Design

Water Wise Spokane is a program of the City of Spokane Water Department, created to increase water efficiency and reduce utility bills, while protecting the Spokane River and the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. The program includes rebates on water-efficient equipment, home indoor and sprinkler system audits, the SpokaneScape lawn replacement program as well as many helpful conservation tips and tricks for your home and garden.
