The City of Spokane is proud to be home to one of the nation's largest urban native populations representing hundreds of Indigenous tribes and bands from across the continent. On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we express our respect and gratitude for the presence and contributions of Indigenous communities.

There will be some closures related to Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday, Oct. 12. On-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payments, but remember, even when parking is free on holidays, all parking rules, including time limits, still apply.

City of Spokane offices, however, are open as usual on Monday. Garbage, recycling, and food and yard waste curbside services will proceed on a normal schedule.
