Enhancing the Survival Mindset class set

Spokane Police Department is excited to announce the next “Enhancing the Survival Mindset” class on Feb. 21.

This course, offered to women, consists of a classroom portion where you will receive lecture and Q&A on crime statistics, situational awareness and survival mindset. From there, students will move into hands-on training to introduce defensive tactic techniques that will contribute to their survival if they are ever attacked.

Finally, students are rotated through several realistic scenes where they will face different threats. Students learn to use their survival mindset to determine the outcome of these scenarios.

This class is $50 per person and takes place on Feb. 21, from 6-10 pm at the Spokane Police Academy, 2302 N. Waterworks. You must be at least 17 years old with an adult family member present. Registration is available online.
