Come hear how the Northeast PDA and the City are working to revitalize The YARD, and create new jobs, new development, and other economic opportunities in the area. The Northeast Public Development Authority, Spokane Chamber of Commerce and the City Council are hosting a public kick-off event Wednesday, September 10th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Northeast Community Center to talk about the project to bring positive changes to the Hillyard area.
Board members and stakeholders will be discussing what has happened and what will happen in THE YARD. Whether you're a 'Hillyardan' or an interested member of the public, come and listen and offer your feedback. This is your neighborhood and we tirelessly research, plan and draft tedious grant proposals for the people, by the people. We would love to hear your ideas for the place you live. If at 5:30 p.m. on 10th day of September you find yourself by the Northeast Community Center, stop in.
The City has also contracted a consultant to implement a recently awarded $100,000 Brownfield Marketing Grant. ECONorthwest, which specializes in economics, finance and planning, has been selected to:
