Be a part of East University District’s future

A lot of hard work has been put into plans for the future of the East University District. Over the past five months, The Sprague Targeted Investment Pilot (TIP) Advisory Board Committees have been reviewing community plans, aligning and prioritizing projects and taking advantage of near-term opportunities.

Now, it's time to check-in with the greater East Central Community. Come join us for a discussion about the effort to help develop the area. Learn more about how community plans are driving the projects and how each project was selected and prioritized.

Drop in anytime between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. The open house and community discussion will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church (2120 E. 1st Ave).

The Targeted Investment Pilot is about creating and building a vibrant Spokane economy, achieved through public and private investment – one neighborhood at a time. The East University District was identified as a prime neighborhood for this kind of effort.

The guiding principles behind Sprague TIP are to:

  • Optimize public investment in the East University District
  • Showcase the unique qualities and benefits of the East University District
  • Generate quality of life improvements and replace undesirable images with positive ones
  • Respect the great work and foundation that has already been completed: Build upon and implement previous planning efforts

Hearing the voice of the neighborhood is crucial. The Sprague TIP board is looking for potential flaws in the proposed implementation plan, as well as to identify additional planned projects or partners to include. Join the discussion and be a part of the East University District's future.
