Track how Spokane performs

We've made it easier to track how the City is performing.

Every quarter, we release performance measures that track our progress against goals. These reports are important for accountability, as they allow people to track how the City aligns itself with citizen priorities and how affordably the City is delivering services.

This month, we've improved how we display those performance measures at Spokane Performs. You will see interactive graphs, information about the significance of each measure and a note describing what the data means.

Tracking and posting this information is one way we measure progress and identify where we still have work to do. Here are a few third quarter highlights:

  • Full-route permitting time has dropped to 24 days – the quickest it has been – even with a high permit volume.
  • The data also helped us identify – and more importantly fix – a deficiency in our online utility bill paying process that customers brought to our attention.
  • We are continuing to drive down crime. Trend lines when comparing like quarters show consistent reductions in violent crimes and property crimes.

Our goal is to ensure that we are, in all cases, delivering the best quality service possible for the dollars the citizens of Spokane entrust to us. Check out the latest performance measures and keep track of how your City is serving you.
