If you have a passion for the slopes – and for helping people in need – consider this your invitation for an amazing experience this winter.

We're looking for volunteers to help people with disabilities ski and snowboard, and enjoy camaraderie on the mountain. You don't have to be an expert skier or snowboarder to help out, either. All levels of experience are welcome.

This opportunity is through Spokane Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS), which serves a broad range of people with developmental and/or physical disabilities. We offer a large range of activities, from aerobics and sports programs to theater trips and cooking classes. Our winter outings will take of advantage of the beautiful Northwest venues at Mt. Spokane, Silver Mountain, 49 Degrees North and Mission Ridge.

If you're available on Saturdays, join us as a volunteer. You'll get to enjoy the fresh mountain air with free lift tickets and help give people with disabilities an incredible gift this winter. For more information, call me at 509.625.6245 or email me at abusch@spokanecity.org.
