Engage with us about the State of the City

Starting with the Mayor's State of the City Address in February, a series of discussions have taken place in a month-long conversation about how the City is serving its citizens.

On Feb. 18, Nearly 6,000 people joined Spokane Mayor David Condon for a community conversation about the state of the city. Topics ranged from street improvements to the redevelopment of Riverfront Park to the latest in the search for a new police chief. In addition, the Mayor has held discussions at the South Hill and Hillyard Library branches in recent weeks and citizens have also weighed in via social media and email.

The community discussions have focused on these three questions:

  • Where has the city made progress?
  • Where do the opportunities remain?
  • What are the most important priorities?

If you were unable to join in person or via phone at the recent community conversations, you can send your comments to and take the State of the City mini-survey online.
