Celebrate National Public Lands Weekend by joining an informal En Plein Air (open air) sketching/painting event: Sunday, October 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Highbridge Park picnic shelter. FREE! Perfect for beginners, novices, and experienced sketchers. Dress for the outdoors and bring your own paper, pens, pencil, paint, clipboard, and we’ll have some there also. Artist Megan Perkins will lead participants in Plein Air sketching.

We are holding this event to raise awareness of the new proposed Latah-Hangman Valley Nature Trail. We will have information about the project on hand at the event as well.

Contact Megan Perkins at meganperkinsartstudio@gmail.com for questions about the En Plein Air event. RSVP here or by emailing Megan Perkins.

Special thanks to National Park Service, Inland Northwest Trails Coalition, American Society of Landscape Architects Washington Chapter, Spokane Mountaineers, Nicoterra Trails, The Lands Council, Spokane Tribe of Indians, Spokane Riverkeeper, Eastern Washington University, Spokane River Forum, Kop Construction, SNAP, Spokane Preservation Advocates, Spokane Regional Health District, and Neighborhood Alliance of Spokane County for their involvement in the Latah-Hangman Valley Nature Trail project.
