Upcoming North Spokane Corridor Workshops

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is holding its first series of North Spokane Corridor (NSC) 2018 workshops!

The workshops are meant to examine potential placemaking opportunities within the Whitman, Bemiss, Minnehaha and Hillyard neighborhoods, and identify the type, size and location of future Children of the Sun Trail segments from Columbia Avenue to I-90.

The first three workshops will focus on specific neighborhoods and the last Children of the Sun Trail workshop is for the entire trail from Columbia to I-90. Everyone is encouraged to attend.  Here is the schedule:

  • Bemiss & Whitman Neighborhoods
    Saturday, February 24, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook Street
  • Minnehaha Neighborhood
    Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook Street
  • Hillyard Neighborhood
    Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    Shaw Middle School, 4106 N. Cook Street
  • Children of the Sun Trail
    Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone Street
