2018 Parking Study Survey

Updated: 05/16/2018

Earlier this year, the City of Spokane announced the start of two new parking studies analyzing parking in downtown Spokane and the University District. Both districts are experiencing growth and change. With projects such as the Central City Line transit system, increased development on the north river bank area, Riverfront Park investments and the opening of the U-District Pedestrian Bridge, it is important to learn how the parking can contribute to vibrant and active areas.

The City contracted Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates to take a comprehensive approach to parking as part of the 2018 Update to the Downtown Plan. Now three months into the study the City of Spokane and Nelson\Nygaard are looking for your feedback!

We have launched a parking study web page for each study where you can learn about our goals for the studies and the expected timelines. In addition, Nelson\Nygaard has created a parking survey! The survey is part of engaging the public to identify current parking conditions and create opportunities to hear from people who park downtown and in the University District. Join us at the upcoming Connect Downtown event on Monday, May 21 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the south entrance of Riverfront Park to learn more about this project and take the survey. The parking survey will be live until Thursday, May 31 and participants who complete the survey will be entered in a chance to win a gift card generously donated by Atticus Coffee & Gifts!
