On Saturday, April 26, 2014, The Friends of the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens invite all to our annual Opening of the Gardens’ event from 2 to 5 p.m. This event is at the Corbin Arts Center and the adjacent Gardens located at 507 W. Seventh.

Garden authority Phyllis Stephens will present slides and a talk at 2 p.m. at the Corbin Arts Center: “A Splash of Color”. COST-$10 at the door, with limited seating. Event is free to members of Friends of Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens.

After the program, come visit this wonderfully restored, award-winning hillside historic landscape to learn the history behind recovering the Garden. Garden visitors learn about the 1900’s lifestyle of the Moore and Turner families, and about Kirkland Cutter, designer of many beautiful homes on 7th Ave., while enjoying the best view of downtown Spokane there is.

Touring the gardens is FREE as always. Wander the pathways of the gated gardens after refreshments, to see the spring bulbs and shrubs in bloom.

Admission to the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens is free. Gates are open to the public seasonally, from April to September as scheduled below:

  • April and May Weekends - 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • June 1 - Aug. 31: Wednesday - Sunday - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • September weekends: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
