TripAdvisor(R) has announced the winners of its 2014 Travelers'Choice(TM) awards for attractions, highlighting the top landmarks and parks around the globe. Spokane's Manito Park was named one of the top 25 parks in the nation.
"TripAdvisor travelers have helped identify some of the best attractions around the globe," said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. "These award-winning landmarks and parks are an ideal starting point for taking in the world's must-see sights."

The relaxed atmosphere, the different gardens, the conservatory, and a good family place are just a few "greats" about Manito. There are lilac gardens, a Japanese garden, Duncan Garden, which is filled with annual flowers, a perennial garden, a beautiful wall with cascading flowers in the spring, and a rose garden. There's also a pond, playground equipment, and picnic tables.

Beautiful grounds to walk. Wife and I spend about 2 hours walking through the different areas. Met up with a local who told us about the history and how it was originally a zoo.

A very peaceful and relaxing place. Well-maintained grounds. Accessible for those who have disabilities. A great park to visit and meditate, right in town.

The rose garden is a little corner of heaven. Must see while in Spokane! It's peaceful, and the 200+ rose bushes are just beginning to bloom. The gardener suggested coming within the next month to see the garden in full glory.

Really enjoyed this park. Fragrant rose gardens, stately manicured English style garden, tranquil Japanese garden and an interesting observatory and nursery. Great stop.

A lovely day, exploring green houses, lilac and rose gardens. Japanese Garden revealed a comforting area to sit and reflect. Do use caution while walking on any of the roadways.

Spokane has wonderful parks, and this one is spectacular, first established in 1904. Has manicured grounds and more wild areas. Everything you could want in a city park.

Spokane has so many wonderful parks, but this is the best. I live just outside of Spokane and love walking the grounds, especially the sunken garden. This historical park is beautiful all year round, but more so Spring through Fall when all the flowers are in bloom. This park is also a great place to get away while still within the city.
