Testing will temporarily close the Howard Street Bridge South in Riverfront Park to pedestrians beginning tomorrow. The closure will last through Friday while crews complete geotech testing for the design of new pilings.

The testing is in preparation for bridge reconstruction that will be completed as part of renovations to Riverfront Park over the next few years. Demolition and reconstruction of the Howard Street Bridge South is scheduled to be one of the first major construction projects in the park.

Park users wanting to access the Pavilion and surrounding attractions from the south are directed to crossings near the Clock Tower during the closure. Access is also available from the west and north ends of the park.
