The Gaiser Conservatory at Spokane’s Manito Park is scheduled to be closed for two consecutive days this week for maintenance. Crews will perform repairs to a damaged roof vent on Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17.

The Conservatory is frequently closed on Wednesdays for pest management, so this week’s maintenance work is effectively closing the Conservatory for one day of normal open hours (Thursday). Normal Gaiser Conservatory hours can be found on the City’s Parks and Recreation website.

The Gaiser Conservatory was named for longtime Park Board member Dr. David Gaiser. The Conservatory is open to the public, free of charge, throughout the year. The greenhouses contain tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate plant specimens from around the world. The displays are changed seasonally.
