Downriver Golf Course will celebrate 100 years in July with a vintage-style tournament using hickory clubs – the kind used when Downriver opened in 1916.

The two day event provides hickory clubs to all teams. An evening silent auction benefits Active4Youth, a local non-profit that provides a cross country program to all elementary schools in the Spokane Public School District and Central Valley School District.  Over 6,000 local kids enroll in this program every fall. The organization aims to teach sports and healthy activities to children at a young age in order to combat childhood obesity while providing a safe place to play after school.
