City of Spokane Parks and Recreation will host a Riverfront Park Redevelopment Open House on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the Downtown Spokane Public Library.

Community members are encouraged to attend and engage with design teams, ask questions and provide feedback. Parks staff along with Riverfront Park Committee Chair, Ted McGregor will be on-hand to answer questions.

In 2014, citizens approved the Riverfront Park Master Plan which outlined 5 major redevelopment projects:

  • Recreational Rink & SkyRide Facility
  • Looff Carrousel Building
  • Regional Playground
  • U.S. Pavilion & Event Shelters
  • Public Spaces & Park Grounds (Promenades)

Prior to the Open House, City of Spokane Parks & Recreation will host a booth at the Atrium in River Park Square on April 25 from 12 – 1 p.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. to offer redevelopment information and gather input from citizens.
