SPOKANE – Beginning this week, the dome roof of the Looff Carrousel building will be resurfaced.

The sealant originally applied to the metal dome roof did not adhere as expected and as a result, there is surface rust. The roof is under warranty by the contractor, and the repair will be made at no cost to the City. There is no structural damage.

The dome will be sanded down, and a new sealant applied to specifications. The work is anticipated to last a week or two, weather dependent.

The Looff Carrousel building opened in May 2018.
