SPOKANE –MultiCare is partnering with Riverfront Park and the City of Spokane to provide a drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic during the grand opening of the North Bank in Riverfront Park on Friday, May 21.  

Pre-registration is not required. The goal is provide easy vaccine access for the community.

Riverfront Park’s new North Bank

The clinic will be part of the grand opening festivities, kicking off at noon. The community is invited to explore the new Ice Age Floods Playground, Hooptown USA Courts funded by MultiCare, Skate Park, and Roskelley Climbing Boulder.

Those receiving a vaccination will also receive a free skate rental at the Numerica Skate Ribbon, branded Hoopfest gear, and a free Kona Ice.

“Our community partners have really stepped up to help us make it as easy and attractive as possible for people to get a vaccine,” Mayor Nadine Woodward said. “It is taking a community effort to keep us moving forward and Spokane continues to respond. Our emphasis has been on those under 40, but these events are open to any adults.”

Evidence-based science has allowed us to meet this virus head-on,” said Dr. David O’Brien, Senior Vice President, Chief Executive for MultiCare Health System, Inland Northwest Region. “As you are vaccinated, I hope you will celebrate that you are a positive force for healing and a healthy future for ourselves, our families and our neighbors both locally and around the world.”

MultiCare will provide Johnson & Johnson vaccines, a single-dose vaccine approved for use in adults aged 18 and over. View MultiCare’s answers to common vaccine questions.
