SPOKANE – A few maintenance projects will have minor impacts on Riverfront Park visitors beginning next week.

The park will remain open with many activities, and this weekend, it’s the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Valentines on Ice at the Numerica Skate Ribbon offers two skate admissions and two skate rentals for $14; add a heart-shaped pizza to share for just $12. The sweetheart special runs Saturday, Feb. 12 – Monday, Feb. 14.

The ice season ends Feb. 28, making this the perfect time to glide the ice before it’s gone.

Meanwhile, a few maintenance projects will begin next week in preparation for a busy summer.

Numerica SkyRide

Closed Feb. 14-18, 2022

The Numerica SkyRide will be closed for cable inspection and testing between Monday, February 14 and Friday, February 18. This annual cable inspection requires each of the cabins to be removed.

U.S. Pavilion

Some of the light blades were damaged during the January 2021 windstorm and are in need of repair. Gates will be placed around the amphitheater for safety while work is being done. Gates will open Monday – Thursday nights around 5 P.M. when work is complete for the day, to allow public access. Gates will also be open Friday – Sunday.  The status of the light shows will be updated online.

Thank you to Power City Electric and Garco Construction for donating the repair labor and equipment. The cost of hardware replacement is under warranty.

Looff Carrousel

Closure dates pending in late February/March 2022

Annual cosmetic maintenance to the antique horses is coming this spring, and will be run by Historic Carousel Inc. We will share dates as they are known.
