Spokane Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred just before midnight last night at The Hop (706 N. Monroe St.) in Spokane.

At approximately 11:58 Spokane Police received a call of a shooting. Officers were on-scene two minutes later.

Witnesses indicated that shots were fired and one male was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives blocked off the area and gathered evidence as part of their investigation. Additionally a number of people at the scene were interviewed. Investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

An autopsy will be conducted today. The Spokane County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim as well as the official cause of death.
