Spokane Police Department investigates shooting; searches for suspect

Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred at 2600 N. Martin around 5:30 this morning. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however the incident appears to be a drug related robbery. A search warrant was executed at the home on Martin where the shooting occurred. Spokane Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

On 10-10-13 around 5:30 a.m.the Spokane Police Department responded to a shooting call at 2608 N Martin. Upon arrival, officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect of the shooting fled the area on foot. A K-9 track was attempted, however the suspect was not located. Police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. He is described as:

  • White male
  • 30-40 years old
  • 5’6” with a solid build
  • Calloused hands
  • Dark hair
  • Wearing dark shirt and sunglasses
