Enhanced SPD presence at MLK Day Unity March

The 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Parade, starting tomorrow, January 20, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Spokane Convention Center, will feature enhanced Spokane Police Department presence including:

• Uniformed officers at each intersection
• An emergency command post along the parade route
• The Air One helicopter flying overhead
• Members of the Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) on site
• SPD's Explosive Disposal K-9
• SPD leadership walking in the parade
• Additional behind the scenes efforts to maintain community safety
