On 01-26-14 around 4:45 p.m. Cpl McCullough observed a vehicle in the area of West Central and recognized that the driver, Laci Anthony (27) had a felony warrant for her arrest. He stopped the vehicle at Ash/Gardner. He walked up to the vehicle and confirmed the driver was Anthony. He advised her she was under arrest, opened the door to the vehicle and attempted to take her into custody. Anthony reached up and put the vehicle into drive and accelerated away from the scene. The door post of the vehicle hit the officer as it sped away. The impact from the collision knocked him to the ground, although luckily he wasn’t injured.
