Update: SPD and ATF investigate explosion in north Spokane

9 a.m. - Initial investigation indicates the device that exploded last night was a pyrotechnic-type device, commonly referred to as an M-1000, not a bomb.

SPD/SCSO collaboration leads to arrest of robbery suspects

10 a.m. - Collaboration between the SPD and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of two suspects in connection to recent pharmacy robberies.

Jan. 21

SPD releases names of officers involved in January 17 shooting

11 a.m. - The Spokane Police Department is releasing the names of the officers involved in the shooting incident that occurred on January 17th, 2014.

Enhanced SPD presence at MLK Day Unity March

9 a.m. - The 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Parade will feature enhanced Spokane Police Department presence.
