Incident #: 14-73607
Alert officers arrest downtown commercial burglary suspect hours after the reported incident; 33-year-old Tony Clark was booked into the Spokane County Jail for 2nd Degree Burglary.
On 3-10-14 around 7:30 a.m. Spokane Police responded to a commercial burglary report at Atilano’s Restaurant, 725 W. 3rd Ave. Officers investigated the incident and viewed surveillance footage from the victim business. Through the investigation officers determined the suspect entered the business while it was open and hid in a closet until after the store closed. The suspect then let a second male into the business and the two stole items from the business. Downtown Neighborhood Conditions Officer (NCO) Christensen was able to identify the suspect, Tony Clark, in the surveillance video due to prior contacts with him. NCO Christensen located Clark downtown several hours after the burglary occurred. Clark was still wearing the same clothing he was wearing in the video from the burglary when he was arrested. Clark was booked into jail for 2nd Degree Burglary. Police continue their investigation into this incident and work to locate the second suspect.
