SPD officer arrested and cited for DUI; WSP investigating incident

This past Saturday night, March 29, 2014, Spokane Police Officer Mike Russo was arrested, cited and released for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Russo was not on duty at the time of the incident. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) will investigate this incident. Additionally, the Spokane Police Department will conduct an internal administrative investigation into the incident. Russo has been placed on administrative leave as a result of this incident.

The Spokane Police Department will not tolerate misconduct as we work to protect the safety of the Spokane community.
