Spokane Police Looking to Public to Find Hit and Run Driver

The Spokane Police Department is investigating a hit and run collision that injured a 15-year-old boy. Spokane Police are looking to the public to help locate the vehicle and driver. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

On 10/8/2014, just before 8 a.m., Spokane Police officers responded to the report of a vehicle/pedestrian crash near Garland and Washington. The pedestrian, a 15 year-old male, was on a skateboard headed southbound on Washington in the street at the time of the crash. He was struck by a vehicle, described as a red Ford Focus, also heading southbound on Washington. The vehicle’s mirror struck the teenager knocking him down and causing him to fracture his back.
