Spokane Police Looking to Public to ID Hit and Run Driver

The Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are investigating a possible hit and run collision that injured a 14-year-old boy. Attached are photos of the vehicle and Spokane Police are looking to the public to help identify the vehicle and driver. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

On 10/1/2014, at approximately 8 a.m., Spokane Police officers responded to the report of a vehicle/pedestrian crash near Maxwell and Ash. The pedestrian, a 14-year-old male, was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash and was struck by a vehicle making a right turn from eastbound Maxwell onto southbound Ash. The driver of the vehicle stopped, gave the victim a ride home, but failed to provide any insurance or contact information before leaving and did not contact the victim’s guardian. The vehicle is described as a black Lincoln pickup truck. Attached are photos of the vehicle, obtained from surveillance at a nearby building.
