Spokane Police have arrested Jorden L. Mayo (age 21) on 21 counts of Theft-related activity, including 13 counts of 2nd Degree Identity Theft, 4 counts of 2nd Degree Possession of Stolen Property, and 4 counts of Money Laundering. The arrest and charges are the result of a Spokane Police Patrol Anti-Crime Team investigation into vehicle prowling in North Spokane. Investigators believe there may be as many as 20 additional theft victims and officers continue their investigation into this case. Investigators are contacting individuals identified on the other property recovered to determine if the property was reported as stolen.

On the evening of 10/21/14, Spokane Police received a report of a vehicle prowling in the 1600 block of E. Wellesley. The victim indicated that a purse had been taken from the vehicle, containing debit and credit cards. The cards were then used to make unauthorized purchases by the suspect in this case, identified as Jorden L. Mayo.

Spokane Police Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT) Sgt. Brian Eckersley conducted a follow up investigation into the incident.

Last night, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Sgt. Eckersley obtained and executed a search warrant on Mayo’s residence and recovered credit cards belonging to the victim in this case as well as other property, also believed to be stolen.

Mayo was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on 13 counts of 2nd Degree Identity Theft, 4 counts of 2nd Degree Possession of Stolen Property, and 4 counts of Money Laundering.
